About Balay Dako

Balay Dako means Big House in Negrense. It is a Filipino-Spanish villa with spacious rooms decorated with a big chandelier and framed portraits. From here,  the guest will be ushered into one of the three dining rooms, the Terraza, Silong, and Comedor. Each room has a view of Taal Lake that can be seen through the windows. 

The menu is prepared ad led by Chef Tony Boy Escalante, one of the biggest names in the local culinary. They proudly serve Filipino food, from native dishes to its main dishes.

The restaurant is open from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM  Monday – Friday and
8:00 AM – 9:00 PM Saturdays, Sundays, & Holidays.

My Story. After many years of traveling around the globe, it was finally time for me to return home to pursue my two life passions: making delicious meals and bringing joy to family and friends. Antonio's aims to create a balance of delicious food and homey atmosphere. Every dish that we prepare is made with the finest ingredients. We love to cook and have a great respect for the ingredients.

Our team understands the value of pairing exquisite cuisine with casually elegant interiors and well-trained, professional service. You are treated like guests from the moment that you step through our doors. Antonio's is more than just a restaurant. This is an experience.

The ambience of the area is pretty good. It has good location with the view of the volcano. We ordered a bunch of dishes (bulalo, caldereta, liempo, tawilis, home made ice cream and etc). This restaurant is super famous and always busy, so we went first thing in the morning to make sure we get a table. An hour after opening the parking lot so usually full so be prepared. Was my mother s 83rd birthday and thought to celebrate her special Bday Dinner at this place. Such an amazing place to dine for authentic Filipino food in Tagaytay. First time to visit the area. Fantastic view of Taal lake and mountain. Ambience is awesome. Service was great. Famous for bulalo , Laing , tawilis , pianono and dessert. Be back for...sure .

From the moment we entered the restaurant until we finished eating, I never felt dissatisfaction from the staff. They were all professional and friendly. The taste of the foods were great and have reasonable serving size. The place and the view from our table were...also great. I am glad I chose this place to treat my friends.
